In a different way, going back after maternity leave is another momentous moment, maybe even harder to emotionally navigate than the day she was born.
I went for my first run after giving birth on Sunday, a day shy of Felicity’s five-week birthday. Other than the due date run, I really hadn’t run since mid-May.
It’s amazing how rapidly your body undergoes a transformation over the nine months that you are pregnant. And then, how rapidly it transforms again after you give birth.
Over the course of the first year of this blog I lost about 50 pounds, and I was able to stay within 10 pounds of that weight until last fall, when I became pregnant with my daughter, Felicity. Here’s what my next goals are.
