Could the Color Run come to Bangor?

So the Color Run had an interesting post on its Facebook wall yesterday

They’re trying a campaign to see if there’s interest to host a color run here. A color run, if you haven’t heard of it before, has been all the rage in the past year or so. The idea is that instead of a traditional road race … it’s more like a party. With athleticism. And colored cornstarch.  The idea is you start the race in a white T-shirt and end it looking like a hot mess (err … a colorful hot mess).

The Color Me Rad (a similar kind of race) came to Brunswick last year and was a big hit with a lot of my friends down there. Color Run has also made plans to come to South Portland this year on June 22.

At $45 for a 5K, it’s not a cheap race, but I hear they are a lot of fun. And judging by the response on Facebook as of this afternoon, so do a lot of Mainers.

Bangor has had colorful runs before — last year the KahBang! festival did a .965696K “glow” run on the opening night between West Market Square and the festival grounds.

So readers: Where do you think would make a great route for the Color Run?
