Bye, bye Miss American thighs

My hair is AWESOME right now.

That song is in my head because I was fixing this story right before I started this post.

Slightly relevant: I subscribe to a really cool service called “Timehop” that sends you an email report of everything you did the year before on Facebook, Twitter, foursquare and Instagram. And a year ago yesterday, I was celebrating the fact that I just went under 165 pounds — putting me .8 pounds away from my goal of 164.

Yesterday, I weighed 153.8 pounds. I would never have dared to dream that could be possible a year ago.

Tomorrow is my half-marathon, Race the Runways. I’m gunning for under 2 hours. That’s 9:09 miles. That gives me an extra 6 seconds per mile over my 10-miler PR. I’m gonna do it.

I haven’t taken any time off for this race to taper because … I feel like I’ve taken plenty of time off already, and the weather is perfect out and I want to run. I LOVE running. I did not feel this way two weeks ago. So I’m going to milk that sucker for what its worth, and have a great day tomorrow.

Don’t you guys agree? Isn’t the weather perfect now? 🙂
