New case for my iPhone4

Between the new screen and the new case(!) that arrived today, I feel like I have a new iPhone.

It’s an Otter Box commuter case. After I shattered the screen — while there was no case on the phone, I might add — I really wanted a case that would protect the new screen well. My old case had a big crack in it, which was part of the reason why I didn’t use it often.

I chose this brand because they have a reputation for producing really durable cases. And I chose this model because I didn’t want a bulky case. Since I primarily use my phone for tracking my pace and distance while running, I wanted something durable yet light. And this case was a food compromise.

Total price was $22 on amazon. That’s the most I’ve paid for a cellphone case but I think it was worth it. The case has a snug silicone sleeve and a slim hard shell exterior.

For dinner tonight, I tried a new recipe — shepherd’s pie.

Ok, no pictures of the final product because we dug in so fast. It isn’t the healthiest thing in the world, but hey! There were a lot of vegetables in there.

Saturday is long run day, so an extra helping of cheesy potato goodness was ok, right? It’s only 7 miles … and I haven’t run nearly that long in three weeks …so I really need those delicious cheesy beefy fatty carbs … 🙂
