I had a really, really great night at yoga tonight. As I was stretching my spine … lovely, lovely spine stretches … I thought of this episode of Aeon Flux.

You can skip to 7:00 to see it. It’s this plot line where the girl injures her spine and she has to do these crazy stretches and get this little fake spine disc.
So, um, yoga felt like that … in a really good way.
Wanda and I ran a 2-mile run today before yoga. There is only one more run left before the marathon, Saturday morning. I am so zen and ready.
Exceeeept …
My knee is tweaky. Not painful, but tweaky! The tweaky won’t go away, and we’re going on two and a half weeks now since the 20-mile run. At first I thought, “I don’t care what happens during the marathon with my knee, I’m finishing it,” and now I’m thinking, “I’d really like to be able to run another marathon after this.”
Like, don’t get me wrong — if I didn’t have to run 26.2 miles in 4 days, the way my knee feels (or doesn’t feel) wouldn’t even by on my radar. But I don’t feel whole. I don’t feel like I’m going into this as good as I went into my 19-mile run, or my 20-mile run.
So there is an ice block under my knee right now and it is what it is. The training is over. It’s time to rest. And …
Nom, nom nom.
