A little less than a year ago, I started this blog after I felt like I had enough “traction” in my newfound running habit to, I don’t know, commit to writing about it every day.

I remember worrying about putting in a lot of effort to start it, and not finishing. I do that a lot.

But here I am, 182 posts later, still blogging. Not to sound like I am tooting my own horn (I am) but I hear often, “I read your blog! I love seeing it on Facebook! It is such an inspiration.” And that makes me feel great. That’s almost as awesome as the running itself is. šŸ™‚

Part of what has kept me going is reading the many great blogs out there about running and healthy living, like One Mom in Maine and Run Eat Repeat. During my down time, the time when its tempting to stay on the couch or drink another beer or order pizza instead of cooking dinner, reading those blogs (and others like it) remind me of my goals and why I started on this journey in the first place. And I want my blog to be like that for others, too.

So I moved my blog from a little, easy-to-set-up Tumblr to a “grown up” WordPress blog on its own domain ā€” PattieRuns.com. Change your bookmarks! šŸ™‚

Thanks for coming along for the ride.
