It’s race day again!

In usual fashion, I don’t have much time to write, but I wanted to say something as I eat my oatmeal.

A year ago I was sitting in our packed-up apartment (the race was a few days before we moved into our house). I was scared as all hell. I had never biked that many miles before, especially not for a race. I ate two cliff bars and drank three cups of coffee and said, “you’re just going to get on your bike and finish it. No judgements. No regrets. At least you followed through.”

And I did. With no training. So today, almost 1,000 miles of training running and biking later, I should be totally, totally prepared.

At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. 🙂

After today, I will only have two more resolutions to complete!
