Yesterday was a good day for fitness.

It started with  9-mile run in Brunswick with a cool group of people that meet at the Maine Running Company. According to the app on my phone, I was running at a blazing pace, 10:52, which I’d be happy with for three miles, let alone 9. I have accepted that I need other people around to push me.

When I got home, my sweet husband was bailing water out of the basement. Hey, that sump pump we never bought? Turns out we needed one of those. So a lot of yesterday was spent bailing water out of the basement. I totally feel that in my lower back today.

The pups also got two long walks around the neighborhood. It was so beautiful outside!

For dinner, Tony and I walked down the hill to DaVincis. It’s about a one-mile walk each way. One of my favorite, favorite things about our house and living in Lewiston in general is how very walkable everything is.

Only 10 percent of Lewiston has a higher walk score than us

Only 10 percent of Lewiston is more walkable than our house!

Today is looking like it will shape up to be a beautiful day as well, and since I have plenty of time today, I will make up for my not-running sins of the week and do another long spin around Lewiston today.

It just feels so spring. I love it!
